CCR baby! One this day in music history…
On this day in music history: April 20, 1970 - “Up Around The Bend” by Creedence Clearwater Revival is released. Written by John Fogerty, it is the bands’ second single release of the year, and is recorded in early April, days before departing for a European tour. Backed with the track “Run Through The Jungle”, both songs will be included on their next album “Cosmo’s Factory” released in July. Both sides will receive heavy airplay and will peak at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming their sixth top 10 single in just fifteen months.
